Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! I am so excited to begin my seventh year as Assistant Principal here at Prattville Intermediate School! It is a pleasure to be part of a school that values the love of learning! I look forward to watching the great accomplishments our students, faculty, and staff achieve this year!

A bit about myself, I am married to Coach Jeremy Carter and have two beautiful children, Kenley (16) and Nash (12). Coach Carter is the principal of Autauga Academy. He also helps coach football throughout the year. Kenley attends Prattville High School as an 11^th grader and is a PHS Varsity Cheerleader. Nash is a sixth grader at AAG and plays football, baseball, basketball, as well as dabbling in boxing/MMA training.

I am a graduate of Homewood High School, and received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of Alabama at Birmingham. GO BLAZERS! I received my Masters of Arts in Instructional Leadership in 2016 from the University of West Alabama.

I spent 18 years as an elementary classroom teacher before diving into the world of administration. I taught second grade at Jonesboro Elementary School in Bessemer, moving to third grade at Paine Intermediate with Trussville City Schools, and finishing my teaching career at Billingsley School in Autauga County as a second grade teacher. As an Assistant Principal, my goal is to provide leadership that facilitates a safe, creative, and secure environment where every individual can be productive and successful!

I am looking forward to a GREAT year and as always…
