I am delighted to be entering my sixth year at Prattville Intermediate School as the Intervention Specialist, building upon a 20-year career in education. I am particularly excited about this new role, which transitions me from my previous position as a 6th-grade teacher to focus on supporting students who require additional academic assistance. As an experienced educator, I am committed to fostering a positive learning environment for our students.
I firmly believe in the importance of building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. These connections form the foundation of a successful educational experience, creating a supportive community that enhances learning outcomes.
Educational Background:
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Stillman College
Master's degree in Elementary Education, University of West Alabama
Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Elementary Education, University of West Alabama
On a personal note, I am blessed with a supportive family, including my husband, DeVon, and our son, Ethan, who will be entering fifth grade this year. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, as well as exploring new destinations through travel.
I look forward to another rewarding year of growth and learning with our Prattville Intermediate School community.
